CKEditor for Online Description

A CKEditor HTML editor tag for WYSIWYG content has been added to the ‘pa_description’ attribute in several entities, and in the case of Event Meeting Setup, three other content-focused fields. These fields now support formatted content for use in an upcoming release of MX Online. 

 

Please note the following when using the CKEditor in UX Online.

 

  1. The ‘pa_description’ text attribute is now hidden on the forms by default and the CKEditor HTML tag for that field is displayed by default. It is possible to expose the ‘pa_description’ text attribute, although it will display any content in the CKEditor HTML tag, and vice versa.
  2. CKEditor tagged attributes are displayed in a separate tab on a form. The tab is collapsed by default to support performance when opening a form. Do not change this setting.
  3. To save content in the CKEditor, the user must use the save icon within the CKEditor toolbar and then save the record in UX Online.
  4. The CKEditor is only available in the Product form when the Product Type = Sales Inventory or Sales Non-Inventory.
  5. There are three instances of the CKEditor on the Event Meeting Setup form. These three instances replace the following fields, which are hidden on the form by default.
    1. pa_eventmeetingdescription (located in ‘Online Meeting – Additional Information’ tab)
    2. pa_detailedcontent (located in ‘Online Meeting – Contact Us’ tab)
    3. pa_customtext (located in ‘Online Description’ tab)

 

Important
New MX features, which includes the CKEditor, are only supported in the upcoming release of MX Online 8.2.
